Default Alternator replacement and identification
MY alternator died on me today. It is 20 miles away at work and I need to know how to identify if I have a Hitachi, Bosch, or Valeo. I own a 2002 tt225 (with engine code AMU )roadster. Thanks in advance!

It seems like your screwed if you have the Valeo. Also can you mix and match or do you have to use the Brand that was originally installed
