Default Another important question...

Since I am online, I was hoping somone can help me with another question. I recently chipped my TT and since doing so my engine light has come on. I reset the ECU to make sure I had done it correctly the first time, and after driving the car around for about 15 minutes the check engine light came on and has stayed on since. I have minor upgrades (Injen short ram intake, hyperpoost billet DV, nuespeed chip) and it only did it about a week after the install of the neuspeed chip. I also noticed that right at about the same time I have been getting a noticable hesitation at around 4000 RPM's regardless of what gear I am in (although it is definately more noticable from 2nd to 3rd gear, and always more noticable under harder acceleration.) The best way to describe this hesitation is that it feels like the car is bogging down. It accelerates smooth and hard until 4K or thereabouts, then it feels like its hitting some kind of governor or limiter (whether or not APR is turned on or off it is the same story) and after a second it picks right back up and accelerates smooth again until I shift. Too many people have had different theories (sombody on another forum thought timing belt??? I only have 43K miles on my car though...also there was a theory that the injectors may be clogged or fuel pump going out or maybe they can't keep up with the higher boost level and therefore can't deliver adequate fuel at higher boost levels???) Has anybody had a similar problem with a chipped or non-chipped TT??? If anybody can help I would really appreciate it. Again, with my military duty being so hectic (first Katrina and now a relocation on the herizon) it has been too hard to find any adequate info elsewhere and Audi wants too much to look at it and find the problem since it isn't under warranty anymore. Please help with a PM or post to this tread. Thanks.

Default RE: Another important question...

I have seen 8 hits but no replies. Why have so many people ( eight just today alone) been unwilling to offer advise??? Don't Audi members offer advise where applicable??? I asked a question that I know for sure numerous Audi members have come across, or at the very least know a link where the inforamation can be found, yet have seen zero replies. Why is this??? If I was home 70% of the time I would research the info myself but I work when you all are asleep, when I am awake I wish I were asleep, and when I can't sleep and wish I could (like now) I look for answers amongst friends and countrymen and still find no answers. Don't get me wrong, above all people I understand that I took a sacrafice in joining the military instead of finishing college, but why then do we have forums like this??? I go out in the middle of the ocean (which means nothing to most of you who have 8 AM to 4 PM jobs) with a pregnant wife at home to earn a measly $2K per month as an officer in the United States Military, to protect you while you sleep at night. Do we ask a whole lot in return??? All I ask in return is a simple answer to a question that i know for a fact most of you have come across personally or in other forums, and yet I recieve no help. Why is this??? Please explain. Did I waist my time on this forum??? I have posted numerous questions to this forum over the span of five months or so and recieved only two helpful replies. Is there anyone competent to respond to a simple question??? Or all of you to selfish??? I am getting tired of seeking help and not receiving responses. I have not responded to many questions myself, and for that I apologize. I work at a minimum of 16 hours a day, and somtimes as many as 48 hours straight (don't get me wrong, this is what I signed up for, and this is what I will do until I am discharged or die in the line of duty) and if I could I would respond to more posts. But all I am looking for is a few simple answers to a few simple requests. Can anybody help?????

I don't know.

Most likely the same answer you'll get from alot of others, which may be why you don't have a response.

Nobody is gonna know whats wrong with your car, not even someone standing next to the car, until you actually run a diagnostic, and tell us what the code is. You're question, effectively is, "my car doesn't run right, whats wrong?"

If you want more info from the forum, you need to give more info, and don't expect an answer for every question, go talk to an Audi tech for that, people here help when they can, but no-one knows everything.

there are som many depending factors... for starters.. are you running the right octane? -its not a stupid question, it can be set to run up to 103/104 i dont remember.. and you probably need injectors depending on how much boost your running and what Stage chip.

question? if the CEL comes on WHATS THE CODE it might not be anything to do with the chipping "though it probably is", the more information you give the better the chance of an answer ie how much extra power has the chip given/what was the stock power of the engine before you chipped it (180-225 bhp)/what other mods have you done/who chipped it
