i was thinkin the same thing..but why not the oil temperature, or the air/fuel ratio, or the egt gauge?

 

oil temperature would be similar to your engine temp guage and without knowing your oil pressure when you blow it could ruin the entire motor. A/F is pointless since its computer controlled and it doesnt matter really. And egt would be great but is also computer controlled.

most important is oil pressure and boost cause loss in those can be real bad :-)

 

if you T into the fuel pressure regulator, and you don't see any boost... i'd stop driving immediately so that you don't destroy your engine.... because i'm pretty sure that if you don't see boost when you T off the fpr, you may have a big fuel delivery problem on your hands. just something i read/was told a long time ago, so its just a faint memory now

 

But if you use the FPR, and you don't see boost, wouldn't that also mean your car wouldn't run well anyway, indicating some major problem?
