Hey guys im new to the forums, and i was planning on buying a TT after this summer. I want to get a coupe (used) 2002 or 2003 probably. I was looking at the different pictures and noticed that some models have different grills in the front.

Why is this the case? i think the cross hair grills (second link) look way cooler, are they only available on 2004 models?

the 5-bar grille was on them from '99-'03
the "crosshair grille" i think started in 2004 (someone correct me if i'm wrong)

they are interchangable.

 

i found some 2003 with that 5 bar grill. and someone said its interchangeable? so does that mean i could buy an older one and buy a grill and put it in? anyone know aproximatelly how much it would cost and how hard it is to do? this would be my first car

 

Its not very hard. As for cost the prices are all over the place. There are also plenty of aftermarket grilles as well.
