Do you have a photo? I really hate having the back seats & just wanted a flat plain. Anyway I've been planning on deleting the backseats & doing something like this with a netting up. I'm curious to know how you did the edges.

I'll snap a picture or so and post them up. Basically, I pulled the seat out... ran all my audio cabling and wires...

Then I bought a sheet of 3/4" MDF. I cut it to the rough dimensions (45"x21"). Then I measured the distance from the front edge (forwardmost part) back and marked off where the rear side panels began to curve. then I measured from the rearmost side to where the side panels STOPPEd curving. the "S" curve on the sides is from the 11" point to the 6" point on the sides that are 21". The curve reduces the width by 1" on each side. Then I cut an inch off each side all the way to the 11" point with a jigsaw. After that I began cutting an apex and refitting it and trimming and refitting and trimming etc until the curves molded perfectly to the rear panels. then I measure to the point where the support bar on each side started and stopped and cut a semicircle in the MDF where the bars went on each side and refitting until it was perfect. Then I cut a 45 degree edge on the semicircles so they sat on the bar flush.

Next after the panel fit in there perfect around the existing compartment... I pulled it out and went to work on the functionality and cosmetics of it. the spot where the seat used to be is actually recessed in the center so its shaped like a "V" across the car. this meant that I could put things under the panel. on the underside of the panel, I mounted one processor, my distrobution block, and stored all my wiring for the audio.

then I took carpet that I bought that matched the interior... and surfaced the panel with carpet and set it with spray adhesive and secured it on the underside with staples. After that, I picked where I wanted my cap, amplifiers, other processor, and receiver on the top of the panel. one I determined where they were mounting... I cut 1" holes between components and installed grommets for the wiring to feed to the components from the underside. I then ran the wires and cables through the underside from the components mounted to the underside.... through the grommets. I installed the panel in place and mounted the amps, cap, etc.... Then I connected all the connections to the amps, cap etc on the top of the panel and lifted it slightly to pull any slack out of the cables and wires. I laid it back down and it was finished.

Now I have a panel with everything mounted on it where the seat WAS and no wires all over because they are all ran through the grommets from the bottom side. On my setup, the panel is about 4" recessed below where the trunk floor is. I did this on purpose so that once all the amplifiers and everything were installed, I could put a ½" sheet of plexigless over the entire panel that could be then used as an optional benchseat. I haven't done the plexiglass yet though. I need to get some brushed aluminum piping to use as supports so they match the TT's trim. also those little dimpled circle caps that are about 2" diameter on the door handles inside... Im going to order some of those to use as caps once the plexiglass is on to hide the bolts that hold on the plexi. Then it'll be finished. It still looks clean as hell even without the plexiglass... but without the plexiglass... I cant really put stuff in that area just yet without worrying about something knocking off an audio connection. If I didn't have the audio stuff there... it'd be perfect, but since i do have it there.. .i need the plexi to restore it to being able to sit on or cargo.

I'll get some pictures up in a few hours.

I wasn't expecting a actually write-up but thanks, I'm gonna use this if you don't mind, I just do my own spin on it. How did you get the seats out in the first place? I know the bottom clips out but the folding part confuses me.
