These ko4's are still the same basic size as the ko3 in your car. The 225 has a larger ko4 turbo than these. They make one that bolts on to a transverse motor, but still a waste unless your turbo blows and needs replaced. But even then a used $150 stock turbo is a better idea.

From stock, yes. These are only really good for another 5-10whp and 10-20wtq. Any more than that and you are staining the crap out of the turbo and shortening its life considerably (which people do).

 

When you say "only an additional 5 or 10 whpand 10 to 20 wtq," is that an additional 5 or 10 from a chipped K04 over a chipped K03? Or 5 or 10 more from a stock K04 over a stock K03 (b/c either one will get chipped, and if a K03 can take chipping well, why would the chipped K04 be more strung out)?
