Badges
Uh yeah, scuffing the paint=super ghetto. And yes, I would buy new ones. That way you dont waste your time trying to restick adhesive to the badges, cutting the adhesive to the exact size. New ones are cheap. you can make them perfect. And flat head screwdrivers don't go anywhere near my paint.

I wouldn't scuff either. Good cleaning, then just stick them on. I'd go as far as even removing wax.
I have one of those 'limited' Haldex Performance badges on the car. Thats just a jewel style sticker that came on transfer tape. Wiped the rear bumper down, stuck it on, and Im not sure I could get it back off now w/o a bit of elbow work.
