battery/alternator???
Yesterday i got in my car and i put the key in and the cluster lit up then went away, car wouldn't start. I opened the door and shut it again and the car started just fine...
TOday on my way back from lunch i saw my date/clock had reset, so i figured i momentarily lost power yesterday. I was driving back and the cluster was starting to dim and die and at a stop sign so i got on it and made it back to work. What the heck is going on!? I'm wondering if I have an old battery, the alternator was replaced with the timing belt/etc. at 70k miles, I'm at 83k.
Also if you might remember I had a problem with my subs working when they want to, like a wire issue where i go over a bump and they cut out then back in. They work for a while then don't work i wonder if the 2 amps I have could be causing this...?

just pull the battery and have it tested. Everywhere including walmart does it. If it is the battery and you have subs, get a Optima Yellow top since it will be able to handle extra power drains like subs well
sorry to waste your time, i was about to get one the highway yesterday and the car died. I couldn't restart it. Right after I called my work pal to jump me, I opened the hood and the cable had come off the terminal. SO i put it back on and all is well. I didn't have the socket at home so I'll tighten it at work today. Who knows...
