Default blinkers work and then they downt work wtf

i have a 2000 audi tt and the blinkers are being retarded. they will work for about 5 blinks then just stay on and not blink both sides have been doing this for a bout a week. anyone have any clues to why this is happening. i did go around an check all the bulbs for tightness all where fine. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

could be a faulty hazard relay switch... happens to me sometimes but then the problem will go away for a while so i just leave them be

it hAS to be called somthing else i dont see hazard relay switch in my service manual

Theres a good write up on how to change it somewhere online. You just pull the radio, takes 10 minutes.

Just replace the hazard switch, It's either that or the stalk.
99.99% of the time it's the hazard switch though.

And the dealer charges an hour's worth of labor. O_o

the switch can be found new for $40-$50 online.
