Why? Well i should have asked but didn’t think about it till after the fact. He just said he has never seen a VW or Audi with one that’s actually ran proper. So that’s why im kind of sitting idle now, and trying to figure out which way to go. I "want" to just get a boost controller and call it a day but for the first time in a few years my car is running PERFECT and i really don’t want to mess that up now lol.

I also thought about leaving the n75 valve in place and just putting the boost controller on. So it good to hear someone has done that.
If I did take the N75 valve out, would there be any issues? If so what?
Spending ~$75 on a n75 is such a waste since all you get is a couple more psi and you dont know how much. There is so many more benefits with a mbc. As long as you have a bleed/gated on the mbc, you will be fine. Also, some chips refuse to use other n75s, all of them will run with a chip. You need to leave the n75 plugged in or the ecu will freak. Just leave it in the tip or you can remove it and hide it out of the way (still plugged in) and then plug the hole in the tip.

The n249 is a selenoid underneith the intake manifold. It goes between the manifold vac source and the dv and to help regulate boost, it can open the dv slightly. There is no need for this with a good mbc

i can drive the guy my tt and show him a properly working mbc... also, as much as i hate to say it some people are more interested in selling their product than giving you good info... he'd like it more if you got their n75 than someone elses mbc

here is a little info....ive had the boost machine installed for two years and never have any boost issues...and after removing the n249 and having direct vac sources for the DV the car responds much better...also i run the N75 with the Boost machine (MBC) and no issues..never tried it without the N75 tho either...

Nice! Thanks for everyone’s input
Well im going to go ahead with a MBC, I tried to get one from ECS when I ordered my FMIC yesterday but all they had in stock was the ones that go in the car rather then under the hood. So i'll prolly run to summit racing before work and pick one up.

Wish me luck this weekend!
Im slightly intimidated with this whole side mount to FMIC swap... :/
