Default boost cut out/ bad tune?

last night on my way to a friends place, I got on it a bit on a short little straight and felt the car sputter a bit, then my check engine light flashed about 5 times as i pulled over... let it sit for a minuite or two, then started again, everything is fine until once again i get on it just to see if it was a fluke, again it sputters but i notice on my boost gauge that i am not able to peak in boost and it seems like i am almost bouncing off of the 17psi to 15psi mark verry quikly... I have a crappy neuspeed tune and am going to GIAC X in a month as soon as i can get enough money but i was wondering if anyone know what could have happened or if i should reset the ECU and try it again... it runs fine even at 90% throttle at 14psi, once i try to peak it starts this behavior. thanks.

are your plugs gapped to .028? It sounds like they arent and you are having misfires due to it at higher psi

just get some new plugs and get either a feeler gauge or the $1 gapping ring. If you didnt check the gaps before install, they are probably to big.

i just had the same issue, turned out to be a bad coil pack. would drive fine, but under load, it would sputter and have the flashing cel, diagnotic showed number 4 cylinder having misfire's, and replaced the coil pack, no more issues. but while your there, change out your plugs to the gap from cincy's post above. but also, use vag com to find out whats going on before buying parts.

you can get new plugs at any auto parts store. Packs are a few $ more at the dealer but if you can wait, ecs has them a little cheaper.

But dont go spending money on random stuff until you know the cause.

I would replace all the coil packs at once.
