boost question

If you overboost into limp mode, you will get a "17963 P1555 Charge Pressure Upper Limit exceeded"

If you don't get that code stored, you've likely got another problem. Bad DV, boost leak, etc.

It allways seemed to hold boost before, but now it seems slow to boost and drops off way more than i remember..... would the DV do this?

Yes, a bad DV will not hold boost causing a premature dump and drop in pressure. Normally they are accompanied by a "honking" noise. Either pick up another stock DV, an aftermarket one, or flip your's over to see if reversing the pressure on the diaphram helps.

ok thanks man, oh yea i did notice that also when it boosts and falls off it sometimes picks back up.....like 14lbs to 9lbs to 12lbs to 10lbs kinda up and down

Yes you could, just as I said above, there are a number of reasons for losing boost or boost fluctuating.
