How much HP do you get with each psi boost?
What is the max psi boost for a K04-01 (180 TT) and a K04-20 (225 TT)?
What makes the difference for boost, the turbine or the compressor housing?

Im asking cuz I was told that the difference between the 180 turbo and the K04-01 replacement is only a few HP. But if the K04 can handle more boost then it should be more than that. I am at 16psi and was told that the 225 TT with its K04 can run 21/22 safely. 6 more psi boost which should be a good bit of HP.

So Im trying to figure out if the K04-01 and the K04-20 have different housing and make different boost.

Plus if I put on a 225 TT K04 what manifold would I have to go to and would my 2.5 Tectonic downpipe work with it or would I have to get a new one?

i think the 180tt uses a small k03 turbo

 

Its a sport K03 which is a little bigger than the K03 but the K04's are bigger and Im trying to find the difference for the K04-01 and the K04 that they use on the 225 TT. I have heard that you can put the 225 K04 on but you would have to get a new manifold. I just dont know which one and if I would have to get a new down pipe too or if the 2.5 techtonic DP would work that I had put on. Ebay sells a cheap 225 K04 so I was jsut wondering, if I cant do that then I will probably get the GT2X at $1200.00.

 

I've been wondering a lot lately about boosting my TT higher.
I was thinking about talking to a local turbo shop about adding in a BOV and pushing the boost up.

But i am having a hard time finding what the stock turbo can boost to.

Or what they even run stock.
