Default Bose system with RNS-E

Does anyone know the speaker configuration of the speakers in a MK2 (2008)? I have the Navi with the Bose upgrade. I want to add an amp to the system and keep my existing speakers. Has anyone accomplished this task? The reasoning for doing this is because the volume on the factory IPOD adapter is too low. And I want it to be overall louder and I think that the speakers could handle it. I do not want to add a sub because I think that I get enough bass respons out of the stock speakers. Also where is the factory amp located? And if anyone has instructions on the wiring, it would be appreciated. I have installed amps and radios before so I am not new to this.

Just a heads up, we're mostly Mk I people here. If you can't get any help, you might want to try the Mk. II forum over at www.audiworld.com

Nice screen name!

To date Bentley has not released a repair manual for the MK2.
Unless someone has really dug into the car, it will be difficult information to find out without talking to another owner/stealership.
