broken heated seat
Hi everyone,
yesterday on my way home from work, I had the heated seat **** to 3 and had the heater on. I smelled a kind of toasty smell, so i turned both seat and heater off since I didn't know where the smell was coming from.
This morning, it was ~12 degrees in chicago, and my car has been sitting outside. turned the heated seats to 3 (then later 4) and had the heater on. Heated seats would warm in less than 5 minutes..but today..nothing. by the time i got to work (30 min drive) still nothing.
anyone have any DIY diagnostics/fixes?
also, my heater sucks..i was still pretty cold by the time i got to work...
help! thanks.

RE: broken heated seat
I've see the heating element taken out of other cars before. As long as you can get under the faberic of both the old seat and new seat, you should beable to install the heating element.
