If two different cars use the same chassis (2.0T GTI/2.0T TT A5 chassis) then would the exhaust be the same? I know that when the MKI came out at first it wasnt known right away if it could use exhausts and other parts from other cars but ended up that way. I know I used part on my MKI that came from VW and alot cheaper too. I just really think the MKV exhaust and TT exhaust really look similar. The only thing I think could not make it work would be the connection the the exhaust manifold?

 

since they both are fwd cars, the path may be the same, but the point where it exits the car wont be (havent looked). The gti and fwd mki's have basically the same path but the TT exits more centered than the gti. The same will be with yours, that i know. You can hack and modify it, but i doubt you want to spend ~$600 than tear it up and still cost about the same as if you bought the real peice.

 

I wonder then if I could use the downpipe from that car like I was able with my 02 TT? Im pretty sure the path is the same but like you said the tips might be different. I think that super sprint is coming out with one soon, know anything about them?

 

all i know about super sprint is they think highly of themselves and charge well above APR prices.

Not sure what you mean by never check out the dps? Are you saying their dps are no good? Ive never really heard of them either but am open to any exhaust that is good. So do you think that the GTI downpipe is the same as the TT one, matching flange and all? I might have to get one and see if it fits, if not Ill have to send it back. Man it sucks waiting for parts to come out for new cars.
