Default chugging noise

i have a chugging and notchy rpms when i am past 3500 in any gear, but when in neutral its just fine which leads me to believe it is something with the transmission. I dont think something is totally wrong with the transmission but at first i thought it was the turbo, but that would do it in neutral right?
Any input?

Do you have a boost gauge? If not, go get one!

I am experiencing a wierd flutter at half throttle which I think is due to being at half throttle and coming up on more speed and less load. Is this normal or what you are experiencing? I have a boost gauge and it's showing up to five and dropping off. If I WOT, it's 15.2 peak and dropping. I think i have a sticking DV. Do you think you could be experiencing a need for service on your DV?

i have a aftermarket diverter valve what is a way to test if its going bad or not, because i made some adjustments to it and didnt notice anything different and then all the sudden i did like the next time after driving it. But wouldnt the dv still be blowing off boost in neutral?

Here is the link on servicing the Forge DV not sure how similar your turbosmart one is

Turbosmartonline.com has instructions also but Im not sure which model you have so I'll let you browse and find the link that matches your DV

i now have a boost gauge and am running high on boost. In first and second i barely see much maybe 10 at the most but in 3 4 5 and 6 i see 20 sometimes. The car doesnt seem to be chipped. What could cause this? N75 or wastegate?

also it is constant through 1st and 2nd gear but only in higher rpms in 3rd and up. Only happens under moderate to heavy acceleration.
