Default Clutch Question :-(

Just put in a Spec Stage 2+ this past feb....

Few weeks ago it got harder and harder to shift and then it wouldent shift at all and I had to take it in. Clutch felt Stiff and had a pulse to it. Grinded it a few times trying to get it into gear at the stoplight next to the the repair center. Then finally it wouldent shift at all into gear unless I turned the car off. SO I turned the car off and got a push start from a cop and made it to the shop.

They bled the Hydrolic line to the clutch? and it worked again but they are afraid that the pressure plate may have been screwed up.

When I got into the clutch a little before I would hear a strange noise.... Not a grind but something else higher pitch. Is it just the grab I hear or what?

Well now it does shift and I can drive it but it shifts funky into 4th gear... And I dont feel I trust it. Plus the place would want atleast 1000 bucks which isent in my pocket book range at this time being I just replaced all 4 coil packs, plugs.MAF and a few other things that cost me a lil over 1500

Anyone might know the extent of my problem? AKA Cincy? :-) Someone else told me throwout spring? I Dont know Shiznit about clutches sept they cost too damn much!

^^^dont listen to lucas spec is great and i have never had a problem with mine and neither has erin(225tt). among many others....This clutch job has to be performed exactly how the bentley manual says....=while i was installing mine...i though to myself many times why in the hell do i have to do this step....well i;m glad i didnt skip any of those steps because i saw how important they were to follow in ease of the installation. so maybe the shop didnt install it correctly...plus spec has a great warrenty on all kits assuming they were installed correctly. the shop should have 1.cleaned the bell housing inside a little(frees up any debris in there)2. replace throwout bearing/slave cylinder 3.also new flywheel..and flywheel bolts...4.bleed clutch system for air bubbles.
and also bleed power steering fluid line. trust me this makes a huge difference in how the car runs!!! you lose tons of power steering fluid as you have to disconnect that line in order to drop the tranny hope this helps
