When going in reverse out of a parking spot after the car has sat for a little while, I get a click, or a very minor clunk have you, somewhere in there about 40% of the time. Sometimes it will be when it's uneven, such as a driveway, or sometimes it's perfectly smooth. I thought it was the delay for the AC compressor kicking on, but it still does it.

If this is ball joint related, is that a warranty item? I have an extended warranty on an 01 with 55k.. or will they say that it's normal wear and tear and charge me $$$.

Depends on what is wrong with the ball joint all rubber or plastic pieces are wear and tear and arent covered by extended warranty
