My wife drives a 2008 TT with a convertible roof. Periodically, it will refuse to go up automatically. The dealership says this is something they are awaer of, but their only solution is to have us come in to have them re-set the electronics.
This seems like nonsense to me. Audi showcases their alleged engineering superiority. Why can't they fix this stupid issue.
Does anyone else suffer with this same problem?

 

Generally, Audi's "engineering superiority" seems to be more about "over engineering".
Resetting the electronics is simple enough, but not a solution to the problem.

 

I have had this 2008 Roadster for a year now, the top failed to operate three times now. I just got it adjusted two days ago and I had the top down twice since then and third time it would not close and had to manually close. You are correct, the smart engineering of Audi doesnt' seem to take care of this problem. The dealer says it is normal that they go out of alignment, but not every other day like I experience.
