Crankcase check valve question
I sent my new GT2X turbo back to ATP cuz it was pushing alot of oil into the intake. They looked at it, took it aprt and said everything was within standards but they said they replaced the internals any way since it was already taken apart. Cool, props to them. They said they would cover the cost but it would have cost $750 if they hadn't. Not sure I beleive they would replace that much $$$ for free if everything was ok. But they said to check the crankcase check vlave to make sure it is working right. It might be letting oil into the intake. Now I know where one opening from the crankcase is and it has a hose going from it to the emissions valve right before it goes back into the intake. Is that the vlave they mean? Cuz from what I understand that valve just measures the emissions from the crankcase. Is there even a check vlave that controls oil going from the crankcase to the intake? Thanks for your help.

I'll take your word for it.. I do not have the Bentley manual and have not gotten this thing too apart yet, but see the piece covered in the blue filter? If this is venting gasses that will improve my mpg, I assume I would see only a positive result from tapping this back into my intake...?
Let me see if I have this right, the hose coming from the crank case to the valve that goes into the intake is used to burn up the emissions gases.? But how and why is the oil getting from the crank case all the way to the valve? That must be 20 inches of hose. And is the valve suppose to open and close? If it opens then the oil gets in. How do I keep the oil from getting in the hose? At one point I had a breather filter on the hose but I got a check engine light, I guess saying there was some pressure drop or something. I put the hose back on and the check light went away. So I guess Im still confused as to how to fix this. I mean it was a good bit of oil coming out. Thanks again.
