i was wonder how much parts is and believe me i search and search and breather hose kept on shoing up.. not sure if its the same.. Im really car blonde and dealers wants 475 for parts and labor.. just 5 months ago i had a belts and timer done and aluminum fan replace which i was told was inside the motor.. 1000 for that job. this car is driving me crazy so any advice would help.. thanks

There was a recall on a crankcase breather hose so make sure it's not that. Otherwise we need a picture of the part you are talking about.

 

thanks for the reply but i jsut called dealer and its a breather valve but im wondering if there is a recall on the hose .. would a damage hose cause a valve to become damage.
i ask dealer for price of part since my brother offer to do the job for me knowing i been hit hard with this car and my job lost but no matter what this car is giving me a huge headache. i wonder how much i can get for it.. kellyblue book said 15k i will be happy to get 13 for this..

 

The part is probably not expensive and probably not hard to install. Dealers are just expensive.

 

Timing belt and Water Pump job? $1000 wasnt bad if they replaced at least 6 parts on your invoice.

ok so i got to the valves and it was fine and i found the hose was rotted out. is this the recall your talking about.. if so how do i go about asking about recall because the dealer should have saw this when they did the diagnostic on the car. would they come out and tell me its a recall or do i have to fight for it.. this audi is killing me .. so thanks for your help

 

really they should have said hey theres a recall so we will do it, but who knows. call a dealer with your vin, the dealer where the recall would have been done if possible, and ask if that recall has been performed on your car.
