Did they say the custom exhaust was going to be mandrel bent? I know alot of small private shops cant afford the mandrel machine and if n ot it may actually be more restrictive at the bends.

lol nah not 14k-17k =) Which made me really happy since I didnt really want to drop a Ton of money on this whole build. After talking to the shop owner for 2 hours or so and learning more about turbos and tuning them and how the whole shebang works w/ Custom exhaust manifolds and exhaust and trims and Everything (This is one smart guy) He said we could do the DP/Exhaust for $700 (Me supplieing cat and muffler) and he could have it done in ~8 hours. He doesnt have a Mandrel bender, but, he has the next best thing. Incredible Welding Skills and Very good knowledge of cutting pipes to work. He showed me the under side of the civic and it's As smooth as mandrel (I don't care on being able to see the welds)
My car could be poop brown and look like *** as long as it performs great lol. Pretty much what Sttjackett said - Small shop w/ skilled workers able to get the job done at a Very fair price.

So far though I only have the Cat picked/Muffler and gonna get USRT's Intake Manifold and give it a shot. I still need to choose a turbo though. I think im gonna just have the shop owner choose for me since his knowledge is Way above mine on them. And the price should be either At 2g's or Slightly above (Still makes me happy!)

Just make sure the bends are as wide as the rest of the pipe, which means he might have to use a biiger diameter on the bends to keep the same diameter all the way thru. I have heard that the bends if restrictive can actually cause losses intead of gains. Im sure he will do a good job.

Just got the XR-1 in my lap and good lord. Not only is it tiny but it's louvers are very porous. I wish I could have fit the round one instead of the oval. But the cannister style was 3" Longer and making it just too tight of a squeeze. For the price though Muffler looks good, weights Nothing Maybe 11-13lbs and im sure is gonna have some sound to it.

Make sure to take some sound clips, I want the same set up and wanted to hear it first. Which model did you buy? Did you buy two or just one?

Oh I plan to =) The Magnaflow cat I bought was part #642-94069 on Jegs.com and the Borla XR-1 is part # 157-40943 also on jegs. Just one of each. I wanted light weight and good performance out of the parts. Also I DO want some sound so eff the resonator garbage. I was just gonna run it w/ Cat only but oy. Way too loud. Cops here seriously have hard ons for ticketing Anything over 98dbs OR not stock. "Modified Exhaust" feh.

Saving up money atm and ripping off parts to sell later this week to get some $$ to start this. Borla comes off tomorrow and OEM back on since I think that's gonna be sold. I still have my OEM rims from the TT w/ tires and caps for $350 (Fat 5's) I wanna ditch and a used MAF - ATC engine code $60.

So far all I have written down for parts is:
1. Custom Exhaust Manifold - shop made
2. Garret Turbo (Style undetermined atm) - shop
3. New oil lines - searching
4. 3" DP - shop made
5. Magnaflow Cat 3" in/out - Jegs
6. Borla XR-1 Sportsman 3" in/out - Jegs
7. USRT Intake Manifold - www.usrt.com
8. FMIC - Searching...
9. MBC - Need Info...
10. New Intake Gasket - searching...

And for #9 I may want to do a Manual Boost Controller? I was gonna get the ECS tuning "Race" N75 valve but I do not know enough about MBC's or the N75's really to make a decision. What do you all suggest? Spend the $$ And learn how to use a MBC or just stick with a New N75?

So far all I have written down for parts is:
1. Custom Exhaust Manifold - shop made Unless they are a top notch shop, i wouldnt go with a welded manifold.... it WILL crank. Depending on the maker is how low before it does. Get cast and save yourself the headache.
2. Garret Turbo (Style undetermined atm) - shop All depends on power you want and $$$
3. New oil lines - searching
4. 3" DP - shop made
5. Magnaflow Cat 3" in/out - Jegs .
6. Borla XR-1 Sportsman 3" in/out - Jegs make sure its a straitthrough, no chamber mufflers please
7. USRT Intake Manifold - www.usrt.com Those have not been made in almost 2 years. SORRY.
8. FMIC - Searching... Depends on power level
9. MBC - Need Info... turboXS hpbc, best you can get imho, n75's suck
10. New Intake Gasket - searching... 034motorsport.com spacer
