Default CV Axle Options?

Well tonight my driver side cv axle has finally decided its done. When you put the car in gear it clunks around and holds the car back etc. My question is are there aftermarket axle options out there or should i just put a stock one back in. the reason i ask is oem ones are like 800 a piece. Thats at the dealer i can get a used on from shokan with warranty for like 350

I've priced rebuilt cv shafts from NAPA for $200, and depending on which style you have (believe theres 3) you might be able to rebuild it yourself if you're up to it.

yeah, but you have a bentley manual. I just did a wheel bearing based loosly on the bentley, and mostly on common sense. That was the trickiest job I've EVER done on the car, as simple as it is in theory.
