i picked up a pioneer avh-p5700dvd yesterday....i was wondering how hard is it to intall it to a factory bose system...i took it out of a small shop they said they can get the job done for a buck n a quarter....they also said they don't have harnesses for my car and they would have to re-wire the whole thing.

any imputs would be appreciate or link to intall guide...i've searched..

 

There'sa way to install the dvd player with your factory BOSE System you'll need 3 parts Harness (70-1787), Antenna Adpator (40Vw10) and theTrim Cover (99-9100).YOu canandoder it from MetraOnline or CircuitCity.The Hard parts is that puting the dvd playerin there's a chance that the cover won't close all the way, the unitmust sit out alot to pop the screen outprefect unless you want towatch atilt screen. Finding the Key to remove theOEM radio that I won't be able tohelp you out. But I think you can order or get it from SNap On. GOOD LUCK with theinstall

 

thank you very much....just ordered the harness and antenna adapater...already purchased the dash kit from ebay.. i'll probibly won't close the metal cover but it should fit in there snugly and the screen was adjustable in and out and tilt up and down..i'll keep updated and post up some pics after intall....
