Default Dashpod replacement...

Hi,

I just picked up my '01 TT (225), and been researching about the dashpods since mine keeps reseting the date/time/trip meter, including faded pixels.

I now know its a seriously common problem.

I have a question though. How much will it cost replace? and is the new one considered to have been fixed of these faulty problems? Has anyone here already replaced their's with the new-partnumber one and experience problems still?

Thanks.

i had mine replaced under the extended warranty that i purchased. would have cost me about 1200 out of pocket. i've had my new one in for about a year now with no issues. they say the new ones solve all known issues.

don't you need to get your keys reprogrammed?

Being that they rebuild your cluster (with the immobilizer in it), I don't think you need to have keys programmed. Your original odometer should read correctly as well.
