Alright, so I've got a 2001 TT 225 Quattro. And recently, something has been wrong with the door. When I close it, it doesn't show that it's closed. And the window stays lowered a 1/4". However, it will work sometimes. Sometimes it'll be just for a few seconds, and sometimes it will work the entire day. But like last night, it worked. So I set the alarm. And around 1:30 am, my alarm goes off. And when I went outside, the window was lowered. So the computer thought my door opened, and set off the alarm.

I have absolutely no idea what could be causing this. And I replaced the latch, but that didn't work. Can anyone help? It'd be much appreciated.

And also, when the door is opened, you can use your finger or a screwdriver or whatever to manually close the latch, and it works everytime.
