ECU/T3/t4 Question
Hello,
I'm new here, I just got a 2002 TT modified with a t3/t4 turbo, with a straight exhaust, no cats. Runs super fast, but only boosting 5 lbs. I'm sure it can do alot better. I understand the the stock turbos boost around 10 lbs. What chip should I implement? Should I go with Revo? I understand modifying the ecu in most cases assumes the car is stock. Mine already has has these mods, so I'm unsure what to do in terms of the ecu.
Thanks,
Damian

Honestly you really need a stand alone ecu. When you start adding turbos that are that much bigger you will begin to run into tuning issues. Its a custom turbo so it really needs an ecu to match. The standard chips are for stock turbos like you said. Im not sure who else makes a stand alone for the tt, although I did see that tecIII has one for the gti. Good luck
Thanks alot. I talked to a couple of tuners today. APR is out of the question. One Revo dealer told me they were coming out with a t3/t4 turbo kit for the gt28RS, and the corresponding software for it will out in about 5 weeks. This turbo kit resembles the setup on my tt, so with a few modifications, it might work. As it is, it's pretty fast, I just want to push it to what it can really do.
If anyone reads this and hears of a bigger turbo ecu please let me know. Thanks.
