yes, but for the 27th time. A car with a ATC engine (2000 or early 01) has ASRwhere aFWD car can disableand there is no button to turn it off on the AWD car. I am glad you can read and type the manual, even after i told you what you have and how it works. Id hold your hand and walk you through it further, but my car is at the shop 50miles away.

01+ they swapped to esp (which is better, but i have to go back and lookup the differences). The with awd, you would have to be in some serious crap for it to apply itself.

If you dont have it, you just have what looks like a button.

The 01-03 AMU are narrowband cars w/oVVT and the 03+ 225's have VVT and widebands. Also the turbo is differnt, ko4-20 vs ko4-23

Does anybody drive there car with the ESP turned off on a regular basis? What exactly does this do? Does it handle better?
I dont think anyone ever answered your ?. I mainly turn mine off in good weather or when i feel like driving it hard. WHat it does is it pulls power away from the wheels when it believes the tires are slipping to much. You in other words, the revs are still there, but its like pushing on the clutch or putting it in neutral since the power is not
