Ditto that, you'll be clearing a CEL every time you start the car if you don't fix the problem causing the CEL.

As for the service light...

Hold the odometer button in, turn key to on, and as soon as you see 'service!' on the display, press the button on the left side (clock). It should say 'Service in 9400mi' or something. Mines set at 9400, but I may have screwed with it at some point. I've been meaning to move it down to 4500 miles.
If that still doesn't work....

Go here --->http://vag-tool.kicks-***.net/ and find someone with a vag-com cable near you, pay them beer, and have them clear the service reminder.

I was wondering the same thing I got lots of usefull information from his questions it seemed like everything I was wondering about he made a post for and I could just sit back and watch and pick up the information
