Default fuel smell

After I fill up. I smell gas. I am very careful not to overfill. It is my understanding that there is an "overflow reservoir." I see a what looks like an oil filter underneath the car on the passenger side. Is this the reservoir. If so, do I need to replace it?

Thats the fuel filter, it should be replace 50-60k miles. Its $18 at the dealer or $7 from ecstuning. Unless you have a gas leak somewhere you shouldnt smell gas unless its on YOU, which is what i think.

it all depends. I had a fuel leak. Do you have a roadster or coupe. What hapened was when I took my car to get the tires balanced they had lifted the wrong part of the car. This pushed the gas tank up and it started to leak by the sending unit. I had to replace the gasket my self, NOT FUN WITH A ROADSTER, very easy with the coupe though. all you have to do is remove your rear seats
