I have a 2008 Audi TT 3.2. A few months after I bought it about a year ago I started to hear a popping noise in the roof (convertible) when I first turn the car on. When I took it in for an oil change, I mentioned it to the guy and he said "Oh, the sound like you're plugging in an amplifier" - I said that described it perfectly. He said it must have to do with the radio and just make sure I turned off the radio before I started the engine. Anyway, that is not the case and it (the amplifier jack sound) occurs with the radio on and off. It also happens when I have the convertible top down. Any ideas on what it could be?
