release for the hatch under the cup holder, release for the fuel door behind that square access panel in the trunk.

Just saying, in case at some point the switches get all screwy, instead of trying to crawl to the back of the car to pop the fuel door, the release for the hatch is under the cup holders. With the hatch up, you could easily reach the release for the fuel door.

I would run the wires from your gas door switch to your hatch switch(and your hatch wires to your gas door switch). If your gas door is good, and your hatch doesn't work, your switch is bad. Not sure how easy the switches are to get to tho..

ive had one occurrence like this. got to the gas station, hit the button and got out to realize the lid wasn't open. got back in the car and hit it, no pop. started the car back up and hit the button and it opened right up. havent had a problem in probably 6 months.

Mine in my tt has frozen in winter. I pound on it and it'll pop.

In my other cars the little nub that allows it to open/close gets un-lubed. I bet you can just apply some silicon and it'll be ok.
