My gauges go wacko in cold weather they flash on and off the needels all move like crazy but once its warmed up like 5 mins later there perfectly normal how do i fix this

my lcd screen did that once last year. Never did it again. Is this a constant problem or was it just once?

If you have a VAG COM, go to module 17 (dash panel insert) and then go to output diagnostics i think, and do a gauge sweep. The gauges will go all the way from the left to the right, then they will all point straight upwards... If all of the gauges work correctly, then its not an instrument cluster problem which is common on the TT.

lower your brightness of the interior lights all the way for about 20mins then rise it'll go away, even tho normally I keep it down all the way.

it happens all the time everytime i start the car then 5 mins later there normal
