good news on fmic
so i've done some conclusive tests at a 72-77 degree ambient temperature, after driving the car hard for about 30 minutes. I was reading 310 degrees air temp coming right out of the turbo, at full throttle full boost peak ofthe power band. the temps after my front mount intercooler peaked up to 88F that is considerable aircooling, from a generic core. I was expecting 100-120F.the probes i used are omega type k leads right at the turbo and right before the throttlebody. I have always believed in a having a good intercooler setup but now i have proof of the difference. i cant imagine how bad the car would run with 150+F I.A.T. and on a second note giac is making me a software to incorporate the 380's, biger maf k04 setup. it should be ready in the next couple of days. this is for the 180hp tt with a 018L ecu (last digits in the ecu code)
Have pics?
I plan on building my own, figured I'd get a core out of the junkyard, and weld up some caps, and braze them in place. I need to do some more research into flow and cooling, but I think it'll end up flowing short tubes, vertically. Less pressure loss, I just need to be sure they're long enough that Im still getting good cooling.

Have you seen the ic core pics of tcarbon on vortex yet? pretty funny!
