How are you attempting to put the fluid in?

What I did (with the help of Tom) was to drain the fluid, take the filter off, replace the filter, and refill the Haldex unit through the drain hole. Tom was standing by with the drain plug so a minimum amount of fluid leaked out. Actually If I recall correctly he was so quick there wasn't any fluid that leaked out.

To get the fluid out of the tube and into the car you'll need a caulking gun.

my filter is still new so i didnt bother replacing it. anyways, i used the alternative place to fill the haldex. i lost some of the fluid but when i measured the fluid that i drained and the fluid that i lost by placing it back in the tube, it was only halfway full. i guess last time the person who changed the fluid lost a lot of fluid.

This is exact what the bently repair manual says not to do. It creates an air pocket preventing the oil to contact the coupler.

top hole is an 'inspection port'. Fluid should be at or pretty close to that level.
