Default Hardwiring Radar Detector

Alright, time to hardwire in the radar detector just in case I ACCIDENTLY speed...haha! Anyway, I'm curious as to which power and ground points you've found under the steering wheel that are easily accessible and safe to use. Also, any helpful tips on removing the top dash, a-pillar, and lower-steering wheel panel would be appreciated. Thanks!

Post pics if you got em too!

I hardwired mine and didn't have to remove the pillar. I just stuck it behind it, you can't tell it's there I always have people comment on it.

i put mine in the middle of the dash (on top) in between the vents.

i ran the wire down the vent, behind the dash and actually wired it into the clutch relay.

Put mine in the same spot between the vents on the dash but tucked the wire down between the dash and windshield then to the fuse panel and tucked it behind the weather stripping. Stupid easy.

I actually ended up getting the windshield replaced not to shortly after installing it and they worked the wire even further down between the two.
