This has nothing to do with Audi's ::Please do not take offense::
I'm a christian, Maybe not the best Christian. But it just bugs me how so many people dont even pay attention the fact this day is in representation of Christ's birth. Not walmart having a blue light special.
Good story Palindari,
Christmas has gotten way to commercial i agree but deep down i think it's roots are still good.
Family connections aren't what they use to be family kinda split apart and you grow older and everyone moves far away.
Christmas is one of those few things that still can pull us together once a year.
It's just such a dang expensive holiday. This year everyone gets gifts from the Family Dollar and the Audi gets borla. Haha it's all about priorities right?
As far as small town people go coming from a small town in MN and living in the country now city. Small town people are some of the worst busy bodies you'll ever meet, you fart it will be in next weeks paper. BUT If you where ever in trouble and had nowhere to turn small town and farmers would be the first people to really stick there neck out to help you and welcome in a complete stranger.
Big city people i noticed are much more ME oriented.
Ok my rant is finish

no point sitting at a Christmas tree if your Jewish or palestinian or what ever unless your a christian that I understand, personally I don't care but any life lost for the faith is a lost soul and if that takes another life then its lost forever ( total damnation )
Hmmm...
Christmas is a Christian holiday - but it didn't start that way. It was originally a pagan holiday to celebrate the winter soltice - thus the reason of decorating trees and holly - even mistletoe gets its origins there. The Catholic faith came up with Christmas (Christ Mass) to bring in the unconverted.
It wasn't until American commercialism blasted it to it's new found glory that helped in marking it as an official holiday - even the present day Santa Claus is a commercial construct from the image of "Father Christmas".
Like all "traditions" they change with times and ideas. Currently it's under attack because of it's mostly Christian views. Our country, being as diverse and PC as it can get, is having extreme difficulty finding a common ground here.
But if the spirit of Christmas can halt fighting between warring nations - like it did in 1914 during WW 1 - there has to be some redeemable aspects of the holiday season - even if it is to say "Hey! I'll share an egg nog with you now, but I'll most likely kill you tomorrow." [8D]

Well, in that case...
Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an
environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive,
gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within
the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice,
or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular
persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice
religious or secular traditions at all.
I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically
uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar
year 2007, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other
cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great.
Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor
the only America in the Western Hemisphere . Also, this wish is made
without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious
faith or sexual preference of the wishee.
By accepting these greetings, you are accepting the aforementioned terms
as stated. This greeting is not subject to clarification or withdrawal. It
is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It
implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for
herself/himself/others, and is void where prohibited by law and is
revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher.
This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application
of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a subsequent
holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to
replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion
of the wisher.
For My Republican Friends:

LOL XCLR8TT!
I'm printing that out and bringing it to work, when I go back!
I agree that Christmas has gotten way to commercialized.
But what other holiday can you count on Uncle Joe to drink until he starts to lick the empty bowl of eggnog(we don't have eggnog for New Years)!
What ever it is that you believe in, the point is that you spend time with people you love around you.
So Happy Chrismahanaquanzika to all, and to all a good night!
