i replaced my hazard switch but it still clicks by itself (no lights however). turn signals seem to work correctly but i can get the clicking to stop by fiddling with the turn signal switch. my guess is the turn signal switch is bad but i need to know if there is another solution before i take apart my steering column?

I have the same problem with my 2002 a6! I replaced the relay but that didnt stop the problem and when I fiddle with the turn signal switch it sometimes stops it. Also, my interior lights just come on on their own and the door locks stop working when that happens. haha. what was the problem with your car?

 

Dang! it has been a couple of years since you posted this thread. Did you ever get to the bottom of the "Clicking"problem???

 

Its the turn signal stalk - had the same problem on my TT.
