Default HELP W/BOOST GAUGE

Ok, i just installed my boost gauge, but it will not light up. Ive tried numerous aproaches, right now i have the black wire which should be negative atached to the factory ground. The Red wire is attached to the blue and grey wire on the main headlight unit. ive also tried connecting it to the blue grey wire on the dimmer with no luck. I thuoght maybe the wires needed to be swithced, so i switched the red and black wires still no luck.........so what do yall think?

you have to connect it to a power source.... try connecting 1 wire to ground and another to terminal 75X

its letter "A" and that pic is taken under your dash...its like upside down though, but thats what i did and it worked for me

You need to find if they are a 12v source and when. They could be only in use when the lights are on for all i know.

i do believe it should come on when the headlights are on, but it doesnt. I'll try the 75x port and see if that corrects it tommorrow. I tested it as I went so theres no telling if the bulb is good or not, in other words i could not get it too come on. if it is a bad bulb what do i do, is it replaceable. thanks fot the fast replys.

idk about replacing the bulb by im pretty sure as long as you have a wire going from the gauge to ground and other from the gauge to the 75x port youll be good to go... you cant dim it but at least itll light up... other than the light does the gauge at least work?

yeah, the gauge works. It spikes at 11psi which is the stock level for a 180 correct? im not too worried about the light being able to dim, just so long as it works. Man i spent all afternoon trying to figure it out, i should of just asked you guys first...lol. ill let you know how it turns out tommorrow. thanks again

try touching the wires directly to the pos and neg on the battery. If it doesn't turn on... then you'll never get it to turn on anywhere else because your light is inop. Test it first before trying to tap any more wires.

Be sure the light works and test it on a known good power and ground. the battery is definitely a known good power and ground.

I dont understand why it would not work with the blue and grey wire on the headlight switch. Its obviously a power source as many have used it, including me.
