Default HID Problems, arrrrgh!

I got some new bulbs for my HIDs as they are starting to turn a bit purplish. The main problem is that I replaced the driver side bulb and tried it out. It fired and stayed lit for about 5 seconds and then died. No biggie, I thought. Checked and replaced fuses that had blown, no dice. So I try the original bulb, thinking I had blown th bulb somehow. Again nothing. It will not fire or light no matter what. Can I check the voltage at the bulb socket or is the voltage is to high? Any one have any solutions or advice?

<please, anyone?>

sounds like an igniter/ballast issue, not a bulb/fuse issue.

Im not much help, I haven't screwed with the HID's much.

Checked and found no ground, but power, so I think I might have ripped the connector loose from the ground.

~Great, looks like I will be pulling the bumper tomorrow to plug everything in correctly

pulling the bumper isn't too hard, and it gets easier/faster every time you have to do it.

Use a marker and mark where the edge of the bumper sits across the front of the car under the hood so you dont need to screw with it trying to get your lines right when you put it back on.
