HID xenon light question from new TT owner
Hello everybody. My name is Tim and I'm a new TT owner. I recently bought a pre-owned 2001 TT roadster from an old gentleman that only took it to play golf. The car was garage kept and only had 22k miles on it. So far, i am loving the euro feel of the car, coming from a honda accord to this cas has been quite a change but it is an enjoyable one!
Anyway, I have one quick question. I have always been interested in xenon lights, especially with projectors, but never purchased them for my accord due to the high price. My father has 2 cars that have them, both G35's and the tend to look a little more light blue than mine do in the TT. I know they take a little time to burn in and change color when they do. Can anybody inform me what Kelvin rating the lights are and what color they will appear to be after a little burn in time. I am conviced that the previous owner never drove the car at night since the lights look pure white right now.
Any info would be great. Thank you, and nice to meet all of you!
~Tim

They'll stay white, I have a 2000, with 78,000 miles on it, 25K of my own over the last year, and they're white. I'm not sure what that temp range equates to, but you won't get that blue/purple look without upgrading to a higher temp.
i would also like to know that.. I was reading that the headlights are h7's and the fogs are h3... I could be wrong though. I want to change the fog to a more white colour to match the Headlights.... that would be a cool mod
