You snapped off your shifter??? That must of been fun...

 

I've gota '02 TT 225 Coupe ALMS edition with 31k miles. I've only had it for a little over a month and I haven't had any issues with it, yet...

 

actually it wasn't at all. i was in a school zone creeping out from a stop sign, shifted from 1st to 2nd at 2500rpms probably. not hard at all and the shifter just snapped off. broke at the base of the shifter. it was $1k to fix it. dealer gave me a 10% discount.

they ripped me off though.. terribly.

told me the shift **** breaks everytime you take it off ($250+)
needed new shift boot.. HAD to replace it ($75)

When I got the car back I noticed they didn't replace shift boot.. almost stuck my boot up the service managers fat ***. I've also had the shift **** off a few times since without breaking it.

 

all i can say is.....

 

Cincy, yours is FWD? I thought you drove a 180Q.
