i think i found out why i cant hold boost. today i started hearing a strange honking noise through my intake only when i stepped on the gas though. i was just being a looser and looking through old posts and found a whole site about DVs. http://dv.mistertam.com/12.htm ,this is it. it says that when your dv goes bad you can hear a honking noise and there is a sound clip that sounds exactly like what i started hearing today. im pretty shure that would explain why i cant hold boost and my CEL says that there is a leak somewhere. does this sound logical to anyone?

umm, another strange thing happened today. i was going pretty quick outta work and i got the car to do 10 pounds of boost at 6500 rpms in 2nd gear. since the honking started last night and it only happens every once in a while i think that the dv isnt completely shot. maybe there is just a small hole in the diaphram and the pressure escapes when the boost is building slowly but when the car is building boost really quickly it holds it because the air cant escape. is that a possibility?
