Default how does weather affect our cars?

I've been chipped since March, and today is the warmest day I've encountered since the day I got chipped. It's 64 here in MI. I was driving today and got on it a lil, and to my surprise I boosted to about 24psi and only dropped 2psi from spool to about 5k rpm. Normally, it peaks at around 20 and falls off a bit faster.

I know Cincy has said sinceboost climbs more, it takes longer to fall off (not really holding, per se) but my question is how does the car adapt to higher temps? I imagine in the hotter, more humid days performance will fall off due to heat soak/related issues, but with today being about 15-20 degrees warmer than it has been and suddenly boosting higher I am left to wonder. Anyone withinput?

The spool is better in warm but not hot days, but with a air2air ic, it can only cool to about ambient temps. So its a trade off. These 60-70* days are the best for a turbo car.

I've never had a turbo car out in the winter, so I have no comparison. But I def know what you're talking about... my Talon used to run a lot slower when it was hot w/high humidity out. But on days like today in the spring and fall, WATCH OUT! she was a bad ****

At least in stock form, the car will boost more when its hot out, because the air is less dense, and it'll do what it can to maintain consistant power. It boosts less when its cold, because the dense air means the turbo needs to do less work. Bunch of tricky ECU magic or something....

i'd still like to take advantage of the potentials of cold air + turbo for even more fun in the winter, but it is nice to know its compensating in the summer.

i can say u can feel a big performance drop here in the Az summer. 110+ deg. heat kills and its still 95deg at night. so hopefully i;ll have my front mount and w/m before the real heat comes

I can second that. Its about 110* avg here in Vegas.
Some of the hotter days (+115*) the car seemsslightly sluggish.
