how hard is it to remove the crossover bar?
Go and look where its mounted and how the pipe is built. Plus, as i have said many a times, if they were THAT important, the MKIV would have one or something similar. No one is telling you to take it off, mines not even within 600 miles of me nor do i care. Its probably still sitting next to my rear counterweight that i also choose not to run. Since neither improve or hinder my situation, ill take the loss of 40lbs and improve my acceleration and mpg
Remove your airbags, seatbelts, radio, glovebox, hell, there's tons of stuff in the car that isn't needed. A guy on the 'Tex cut off the temp sensor just because he didn't know what it was. If it still runs, go for it.
FWIW, I agree the rear weight is useless on modded cars...

I love how you think unnecessary = unsafe. I refuse to touch the crash bar, but you see MKIV guys hacking the **** out of it to fit a larger core. Yet TT people want to bitch and cry about a worthless tube that does nothing like its going to save your life in a crash or increase your lateral G by .5 or something crazy. Makes me embarrassed to be a TT owner half the time and why i dont partake with to many of them.
Are you going to give me crap about removing my sai, n112 and n249? I dont have a cat nor need the solenoids to mess with my psi. Guess that makes my car even more unsafe since i deem it unnecessary.

Its was the lowest point in the ic system filled with oil because of the blow by. Its normal. How much is in there depends on how bad your system is and how long since its been cleaned. Im going with its never been cleaned
Yes, and you may want to remove the ic's also. The only way to prevent this completely is to run a catch can and vent it or route it to the exhaust. If you route it back to the tip, you wont get nearly as much, but some oil will still creep into the intake.
