Default I guess the Wilwoods will have to wait

Thanks scoTT. After warning me to replace the timing belt on my 2002 TT225Q with 50K miles, I called the Audi dealer in Greenwich, CT to price this work. You see, I had a falling out with these guys during the summer when after 3 attempts, and 6 weeks in their shop, they were never able to make my stock audio system come back to life for more than 5 days.

I gave them a 100% dis-satisfaction rating, which I know cost the customer service rep $$$, but I was pissed. Well, I’m now driving 60+ miles each way to work everyday and the only noise I hear is the sound of the TT’s motor and turbochargers, as I wail across NJ from Westchester County. I probably would have happily left it that way, but scoTT’s got me all twisted thinking that the rubber timing belt, whirling away inside at the front of the TT’s crankcase, is about to disintegrate.

The girl who answered in the service department immediately offered an appointment tomorrow, along with a free Audi loaner. When I told her about the radio fiasco, she said that she would have Dave, the service manager call me back – I know Dave. He did, about 2 hours later, and he too was as sweet has watch Kimi fly through the esses at Sepang, 2 weeks ago.

I think I’m ready to give them another chance. Dave promised the world, regarding the radio, but offered no deal on the timing belt/water pump combo – between $1,500 and $2,000.
I hate dealer service, but I have no choice. ScoTT’s got me all twisted thinking that the rubber timing belt, whirling away inside at the front of the TT’s crankcase, is about to disintegrate

An independent shop will do your timing belt for around $400. The parts are around $200.

The repeated lines about scott made it kinda like poetry. And there's only one turbo in a TT. Plus the timing belt since on the side of the block, not in the/on the crankcase...
