Default I'm sure you've all answered this a million times, but

I've had my car now for about seven months and feel it's time to do some MODs to it. After reading some of the threads I've decided that chipping and an aftermarketDV is first. then what?

Also, what brand DV is the "best"?

Thank you for your time with this. And sorry again for the fact that I'm sure you've read threads like this 19837846739829034785467 times over.

FWIW I have a Forge DV and an APR Chip.. no complaints here.

After that you'll probably want an intake. Check out www.modshack.info Most ppl around here seem to like the VTDA from there.

Beyond that, I'd do the exhaust next..

Search around here, there's tons of threads about this very topic

I've got an APR chip and a GFB Hybrid DV... both have been extremely reliable for over 3 years. A lot of people like the VTDA. I'm not so much in for the sound of the turbo, but rather the pure cold air from a TTDA with feeds routed to the front bumper.

very nice when i install the APR FMIC i will be doing the same thing. thoses hoses are gonna kill the DV release sound isnt it? also did you notice a difference in sound when you relocated the DV?

I don't really care about the DV sound as much as I am looking for the coolest intake temps possible.

likewise i want the best and most cooling attributes for the TT, the sound is cool but i would rather have the performance side to things vs how something sounds except exhaust i'm really picky when it comes to that sound...i'm so tired of people(civics) reving up the engine and it sounds like a fart can or something. i think i wanna go with 42 draft downpipe and the borla or eurosport tuning -- b/c its a 2.75 instead of borlas or neuspeeds 2.5in

Everytime I see this pic, Steve, I think of the Robot on "Lost In Space" - "Warning, Will Robinson, Warning!"

Cooler is definately better. Ordering my Modshack CAI (the V) here in the next few weeks - waiting for Escrow to close on my house - then it's back to spending on mods!!!

Get a boost gauge BEFORE you get chipped with a new dv!
Gotta monitor all that new boost!

Already have one. I just haven't put it on the car yet. I'm waiting for the chip and others. Otherwise I don't see a point at looking at the stock boost. But thanx anyway
