Best to spend a little time searching the forum. We don't mean to jump on you for posting things like that, it's just that those kind of questions get asked pretty often around here and on other forums. We just can't help ourselves. Don't take it personally, we were all there once.

ORIGINAL: quattro411

one thing that ive learned about these cars is that the more expensive stuff is more expensive for a reason, i haven't tested everything, but if you do your research you will learn as well.

this is what you'll want to look at, if you want the best quality for your buck:

chip: APR, GIAC, REVO

dv: Forge, Hyperboost, Bailey

intake: modshack VTDA or TTDA(modshack.info), Neuspeed P-Flow(if you want sound, I have this but I will eventually get a VTDA), BMC Carbon Dynamics

exhaust: APR, Borla, Neuspeed, Forge/Blueflame, Milltek, 42 Draft Designs(downpipe)

suspension: Bilstein, KW, Eibach, Koni, Neuspeed

turbo/intercooler piping: APR, Forge, Samco

here are some websites to get you started: modshack.info, ecstuning.com, ttstuff.com, awe-tuning.com, greedspeed.com, stratmosphere.com, tcarbon.com, atpturbo.com, ecodetuning.com, loomknitting.com/auditt

Thank you for your help. That was so much easier!

Idid look throughout the forum (the TT forum anyway... somewhat glanced at the overall audi MODs area..). But that's also why I titled this thread what I did. Sorry again for being a "pain in the *** newbie" asking the same questions over and over again. I just couldn't find the answers to what I wanted...

Of course I've been so out of it lately due to frustration (from the audi dealership I'm working with right now) that I could have read the exact answer to my question and not even relized it. So like I previously said. I'm sorry guys!

Don't sweat it... we've had some recent n00b experience that pales in comparison... if you want a laugh, skip down a couple of pages and find the post by TT_Chica and see how harsh it can really get around here.

Anyway... welcome

Nice! She's from my area too. I've probably seen her driving around. Damn Minnesotans! HA. I hate people from MN. It's a pathetic excuse for a state.... Along with WI.

(I'm sure this is another repeat question but..)
I just found on eBay an APR ecu for $100. It's for the 225hp TT so I couldn't use it anyway, but I was curious as to how that one works out. Since APR is on the "good" list and on eBay it's only $100... Not the usual $500?

The ECU Code (everything down to the last letter) has to match exactly the car it's going in.

Ok. I'll just stick with buying stuff through the actual websites. That seems to be my best (safest) bet. And damn! I just read that whole TT_chica post... harsh. Glad you guys aren't treating me like that.

She sounds like a stereotypical blonde... With daddy problems! lol. Wow....Some people.

*Sigh*

See this is why I think we needed a Sticky, it would help the noobs figure some stuff out before they posted. Just makes life easier for everyone.

If your chipped an exhaust will help with the restriction.. so I'd say exhaust next.. then intake last.
