Default install question

i have a leak in the housing that holds my green top temp sensor so i bought a whole new one. it looks like its just two hoses and two bolts. should i drain all my coolant before doing this or can i just pinch the two hoses? anyone ever do this? if so what steps did u take to complete this job? looks rather easy but could be messy. thanks

Just throw a bucket under the car and pull it out. There will be some coolant drain out, but it shouldnt be an extreme amount.

cool yeah i was thinking that or just draining it cause ive been topping it off with water for a minute. i kind of want to drain it all then fill it with some new coolant. so another question, where is the drain plug and how much coolant is does it hold? would u flush water through it a few times? maybe i should have searched the forums for a coolant flush first
